Eevee is probably the 2nd most popular Pokemon (after Pikachu). I wasn't sure if anyone would like to test for me since so many versions of Eevee already exist out there. Surprisingly, I did get a good amount of testers, here's their work! If you would like to become a tester for an upcoming pattern test, check the Open Pattern Tests page to apply.
Some of the variations that testers chose to make:
replacing the needle-felted eyes with felt and plastic safety eyes
using fluffy yarn instead of brushing out the tufts
sewing different leg positions
Being in Canada, these were the specific brands and colours I was able to find and use for my project:
Dark Brown = Loops & Threads, Impeccable, Chocolate
Brown = Lions Brand, Woolease, Terrre D’ombre
White = Loops & Threads, Soft Classic, Off White
Black scrap = any size (for embroidering the mouth)
White
Black
Hook size: 3.50 mm or 3.75 mm, 3.25 mm for the legs
I used a 3.75 mm hook, but it’s always up to your own discretion. The best advice is to find the hook that is the closest in size to your yarn.
Felting needle
Finger gloves
Pipe cleaners
Brushing tool
Pins
Scissors
Stitch markers
Darning needle
If you use medium weight acrylic yarn like I did, the final plush will measure roughly 4.5” H x 5” L x 3” W (13cm x 12cm x 15cm), this all varies based on your tension of course.
I labeled this pattern for an advanced crocheter. Here are the skills and techniques you will need to complete it:
colour change
sewing
needle felting (facial details)
brushing over work

Finish off, leave a really long tail (2-3 ft). Using the tail, come out between R9-10, move over 2 stitches and down 1 row, go back in, pull tight so make eye dent. Repeat in opposite direction for the other eye.
For the a clean colour change, I recommend referring to the method in this video (not made by me).

If you don't have a brush or don't want to do that step, I would recommend using a faux fur yarn to get the fluffy effect. You can check out my testers work who decided to make that substitution!

Fold in half, sc across both layers to sew shut (sc x8). Ch. Fold a big tuft in half, sc across both layers to sew it shut (sc x6), ch. Repeat on all tufts. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Needle felt the eyes in black and white.
Needle felt the nose.
Use a thinner black yarn to embroider the mouth.
Using a brush, brush out 1 side of each tuft starting from the bottom. Work your way up, leaving one row at the top for sewing.
Recommended pinning and sewing order:
1. Sew the head to the body. Pin all the legs and tail to the body, make sure Eevee balances well.
2. Sew the front legs to the body, making sure it is centered.
3. Sew the back legs to the body
4. Tail to body
5. Sew the tufts onto body right under the head. Make sure the small tuft is on the back and brushed-out fluffy side facing out.
