Materials

Yarn

Being in Canada, these were the specific brands and colours I was able to find and use for my project:

Red = Patons, Canadiana, Raspbery, 187m, 100g, Medium (4)

Blue = Loops & Threads, Impeccable, White, Medium (4)

Tools & Accessories

Hook size: 3.50 mm or 3.75 mm, 2.50 mm

I used a 3.75 mm hook, but it’s always up to your own discretion. The best advice is to find the hook that is the closest in size to your yarn.

Head

Using red then blue yarn and 3.75mm hook.

Stuff a little.
R10: (invdec, sc) x4 [8]

Fold pipe cleaner in half (about 6"), and place inside the head.

Starting in the next round you will need to make colour changes with blue.

I used 2 separate blue yarns for each side so there's less pulling on the inside.

Cut a long tail, use a darning needle to loop through all the stitches, then finish off.

Arms (make 2)

Using blue yarn and 3.75 mm hook.

Finish off and leave a long tail, thread the tail through the middle of arm for sewing later.

Sew on the arms

Pin one arm on each side of the body, in the red area.
When looking at Porygon from the side profile, pay attention that the head is at the front of the body, and the fatter rounder parts of the arm (R1-R3) should be facing the front.

Adjust the arms so they lay flat on the table and help balance the body. When you are happy with the placement, sew the arms in place where the body and arms make contact with each other, about 2-3 stitches in the middle so that the arms can still twist a little.
